 Christian Allana CaldwelI was born in the beautiful scenic city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. From a very young age Christian had always been interested in Fine Arts. Her mother recognized her creative abilities enrolled Christian in Dance, Music, and Art classes. During her middle school years, Christian attended adult art classes at local studios in the city and greater Atlanta. However; her biggest passion of all was art. Art eventually turned into her love for fashion.

In Christian's sophomore year of high school, she received a scholarship to study at Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, New York in an extensive summer pre-college program. Comedian and Actor, Chris Rock, his wife and Actress Ruby Dee were the creative minds for this honor for Christian. This experience opened the young designer's eyes to what it would be like to study fashion. This pre-college experience proved that this was the industry she was meant to be in.

Christian attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Ga. The school challenged her in countless ways; setting the standards very high. Her experience at SCAD made her a more strong-minded and driven individual.

Christian has entered many design competitions such as: The  Annual Jazzo Atlanta Charity Event and placed as one of the top five contestants. Later, she met a local Atlanta-based designer, Bridgette Odigwe. Christian then begin her first internship with Nwakaego Odigwe. She was impressed with her work, which led to employment as her assistant designer and fashion illustrator from 2010-2012. The designer also interned with Bravo’s "The Fashion Show" Reco Chapple from March through September of 2012. He was a great inspiration and a very talented designer. Christian's internshipsled to her participation in various shows and events such as Atlanta International Fashion Week ;allowing her to gain fashion show and production experience. In April of 2011, shewas honored to be the recipient of "The Night of Spectacles" Fashion Eyewear Event. The event raised money to help benefit the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation’s vision services for Georgia’s uninsured. Christian received the NBAF (National Black Arts Scholarship) and had the opportunity to display her winning design in the "display window" of Neiman Marcus, located at Lenox Mall in Atlanta, Ga. An even better amazement was meeting and conversing with the world-renowned designer, Zac Posen.

The designer had the opportunity to work alongside designer, Stephen Burrows in the creation in her SCAD senior collection. Christian states that Burrows is an amazingly talented and humble individual. He inspired Christian to create a beautiful purple pleated evening gown, which was chosen as one of the pieces to take part in the Finale Section of the SCAD 2012 Fashion Show. This particular gown that was featured in the fashion show caught the attention Andre Leon Talley. Of course, which lead to a meet and greet for the illustrious Leon Talley as well as fame designer Chado Ralph Rucci.

Christian Caldwell is a graduate of SCAD, Atlanta June 2012 and received her BFA in fashion design. The designer  is also an advocate of several benefits such as The Heart Association, Breast Cancer and The Cancer Society. She has has donated her time in creating spectacular attire for various benefits in helping others. In her spare time, Christian freelances for clients and creates dresses for benefits.
